TT Wk 12 Results
Well done to all who turned up on what was our only wet night in the series to date, and it was quite wet! Remarkable work by our volunteers who braved the elements to enable tonight to go ahead. Reults here. Only 3 weeks left now to come out get in those points, test your form or gain some top Time Trialing 'Tips n Tricks' from some of our eperienced elite cyclists. The sessions are guaranteed to improve your cycling pace, or double your money back! Did I mention it's free to club members.

6th july 6 x 3mins at threshold pace (85-92% hrmax)with 1 mins recovery.
13th july 12 x 80 secs at interval pace(90-96% hrmax) with 1 min recovery.

European Champion
Limericks Newest European Champion
Mike Yelverton today came in first in his age group in a time of 1:02:38sec and 4th overall in a spectular sprint finish in the european championship sprint distance race earlier today in Athlone.
Well done to Mike and all the Yelverton Family From All the Club
Also Joan Griffin won her age group and Lisa Horgan came third in hers. There were also some great performances from a number of Limerick Tri Club athletes including Brian Jenkins who fought back to 5th in his age group after coming in down in the swim and Dave Beary who finished 7th in his age group. A big crowed from Limerick headed up and there was plenty of vocal support for all the Irish athletes from the supporting Limerick crowd.

Turner wins again at 'Burren Tri'
Well done again to Colm Turner who won another triathlon this weekend. With many club members heading to Athlone Colm stayed closer to home taking part in the new 'Burren Tri', a sprint event held in Ballyvaughan Co. Clare. Colm followed a solid swim with even stronger performances on a hilly cycle and technical run to a comfortable victory over the 80-90 other competitors. Next Race for Colm is Cahir this weekend.
HOTW 2010
Congratulations to Club Member Colm Turner on a superb victory in Kilkee today. Colm had a blistering race yesterday to smash David Grahams course record by over a minute with a time of 2.07.40. This is the first time in over a decade that the overall title returns to the Limerick Club. Cork Tri member Amy Wolfe has kept up her winning form of recent times with another victory today over the grueling Kilkee course in the Female category setting a new course record (by almost 3 mins.) of 2.20.26. Lisa Horgan had a great race to win the new perpetual trophy for first Limerick Female home. Well done to all who participated in HOTW 2010 and special thanks to all marshalls, organisers, volunteers and sponsors. Kilrush Duathlon 3 July
Kilrush is hosting its inaugural Duathlon on 3rd July in association with Feile Sona Family Festival. The event is a 3.4k/12k/3.4k run/cycle/run Duathlon. All levels are welcome and it is hoped that this will be a good prelude to the Tri 3 event being held in September. The start and finish will be from the Square in the centre of the town with the run going out to Cappa and up the hill by the Galleon and looping onto the Cappa road and up the town.
Super Spot Prizes HOTW
Limerick Triathlon Club will be have a number of spot prizes to give away at the prize giving after the race.

Thanks to Giro who gave us the official Lance Armstrong livestrong Atmos Bike helmet and carrier pod. Added to this we also have a giro jersey, sunglasses and two pairs of giro gloves the whole set is worth about 300 euro. We have 3 of these sets to give away.

Oakley have given us a pair of oakley jawbone sunglasses and also some goodie bags with oakley clothes to give out.

Cycle superstore have teamed up with Garmin and given us a Garmin forerunner 310 XT and a pair of zoot runners to give away. there will also be a couple of Garmin jerseys.

Andrea Cullen - Health Solutions
Attached is a nutrition guide in the week leading up to the Hell Of The West race. it was put together my Andrea Cullen. Andrea will be at the hotel on Friday eve at registration before the race giving advice on any nutrition questions you may have.

Today was another good day for the club, this time in Dunmore East. Colm Turner came 3rd, followed by Mike Yelverton in 4th. Mike Yelverton, Niall Collins, Liam Liddy, Mike Ryan, and honorary Limerick man Louis Kelleher were awarded age group prizes. Alison Ledger came 7th female and was awarded 2nd place in her age group. TT Week 10 Report/Results
Everybody had a great time yesterday evening at the TT. Another great set of photos thanks to Wanda here. Results here Calculations are based on participants best 8 results from the 15 week series + points awarded for the required marshall duty (Junior Cat. are not required to marshall). No TT next week (june 24th) due to Kilkee triathlon. TT back again July 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th
Open Water Swimming Summer 2010
A number of people have been swimming at Castleconnell (Worlds End) over the past few Monday evenings, 40-50 last monday. Stephan T Lynch will be on hand to give two sessions again this Monday with 'Hell of the West' preparation in mind. 6.30 -7.15pm is aimed at those of a beginner-imtermediate level with another session starting at 7.15pm aimed at intermdeiate - advanced level. Sessions will cover.
Some others are also meeting to do long swims from the same location at 6.30pm
FRIDAY MORNING LONG SPIN
Cyclist Martin Connery from Mayo is undertaking a 600 mile 'Life Cycle' - from Letterkenny to Lisdoonvarna, in aid of Cancer Care West. Martin's Life Cycle commenced on Saturday 12th June in Letterkenny, Co Donegal. He will depart from Limerick tomorrow Friday at 9.00 from the Dell roundabout if anybody wants to join him for part of the route. The cycling club are also aware of his ride so you may see some of them there.
