Rowing Club Run Week 5

Well done to all runners who did the race last night. We had 68 + 1 runners – our biggest turn out yet! Thank you for your support.

Next weeks 7km race has been postponed till the 7th of Jan due to student exams and as a result lack of marshals and timekeepers.

Swimathon in aid of special olympics

Swimathon in aid of the special Olympics which is been held in st Endas sports complex sat 28th next.

Limk tri members are asked to support/turn up on sat from 1-3pm where there will be 2 lanes available for the club set aside.

Each person could do 45-60 min each or so...Cost/Donation 5euro..

IMRA Charity Hill Run in aid of WWW.Atlantic5000.com (Charities Milford Hospice, Limerick and Marymount Hospice, Cork)

Sunday November 22nd, Starting 12pm. Ballycuggaran Woods, Killaloe, Co Clare
Distance 12km, Climb 600m. 
Registration taking place in Killaloe UL Adventure Centre from 10.30am. Race starting 12pm.  Tea and sandwiches and showers provided afterwards in the centre.

The club Christmas party has been arranged for Saturday 5th December in Flannery’s bar, Upper Denmark Street (beside Nancy Blakes). There is a section reserved upstairs for us and the party kicks off at 8pm with finger food served after 9pm, so come early and enjoy a night away from the stresses of training. All are welcome!!

AGM ..This Friday 7pm Absolute hotel with the 2009 Kilkee video shown afterwards. 2010 Membership may be renewed on the night also.

Tri Camps 2010

New Website that may be of interest to anyone planning some warm weather training over the winter.

Sports Academy International - Tri Camps (TriCamps, a revolutionary triathlon training camp experience.)- Founded by Clare hurling legend/cyclist Tony Griffin and Head coach Gavin Noble and now with Limerick Triathlon clubs Lynne Algar on the coaching team.

i was getting a few emails about gear and clothing questions so i put this article together. it is aimed at beginner athletes or those new to the winter training cycles and runs

have a read and post a comment. there are lots of cyclist out now on both the sat and Sunday cycles. anybody new is welcome along and don't be shy to ask advice. they will all be glad to help.

UL Rowing Club inaugural 5km Race Series

UL Rowing Club are having their inaugural 5km race of their Winter Run series next Thursday 5th 6.30 for 7pm start from the Boathouse. All are welcome.

Race Night for High Performance Swim team - Thursday 26th in Limerick Greyhound Stadium

Thursday, November 26th in Limerick Greyhound Stadium doors open 6.30, but first race is 8.02pm.
 
Tickets include admission, race card and spot prizes on the night . The tickets cost €20 and can be bought from me or Joan Griffin. (or any other swimmer on team- but they are at a high altitude camp for 3 weeks now). Money goes to the high performance swimming team in UL - for trips and camps and gear etc (and is greatly appreciated). The swimmers will be present on the night.
